| NOTE: This method only works on sandwich style decals which has a white bottom, the decal and then the clear top layer |
| 1. Gather all your supplies and maybe a friend (depending on the decal). You do NOT need to remove your brake light for most applications. |
| |
| 2. Please clean your surface area with soap and water and let dry prior to step 2. Use rubbing alcohol on greasy or very dirty surface areas (unless you are using metallic colored decals) |
| |
| 3. Decals are basically the meat of a sandwich. You have a white bottom layer, the decal/meat, and a top clear layer of tranfer tape. Simply and SLOWLY remove the white backing. It is ok to touch the sticky side of the decal but you do not want to touch it too much. |
| |
| 4. Align the decal perfect. Think about what you are doing before you do it. If there are screw holes on the decal they match up pefectly. This is where the friend may come in handy, sometimes the best thing to do is press the brakes so you can see where it will light up. If you have a brake light with a washer nozzle make sure you have cut out the clear tape prior to applying the decal. |
| |
| 5. Once you have decided it is in the perfect spot, simply press down on the decal. Press it down hard on all areas in order for the sticky side to adhere to the brake light. |
| |
| 6. Slowly, and I mean SLOWLY, peel off the top clear layer. |
| |
| 7. Once the clear layer is off simply press down on the vinyl decal and make sure all the corners have adhered. Once that process is finished, pop any last bubbles with a pin and push the bubbles down with your finders. |
| |
| 8. Step back and admire your new brake light. |
